I love music and I am very eclectic in my taste. From one minute I can go from Classical to Alternative to Swing to Techno/Industrial. Life isn't just one genre.
Lately, I am getting heavy into Techno Industrial.
A Short list of Bands I am into:
| Gary Numan | He is the GodFather of the Electronic Sound -- PERIOD. His music made a big impact on me awakening me from the complacency of musical ignorance. |
| Meat Beat Manifesto | Took a chance and bought the ep, Dog-Star Man -- from then on I was hooked. |
| Pop Will Eat Itself | A random discovery in my life while looking for Numan albums on WQAQ's stacks (gotta love a misfile). |
| Lords of Acid | Great hard edge, with my favorite albums being Lust and
Voodoo-U Best part of LOA is that I was kinda wading through that acoustic muck popular at the time -- looking to keep a hard sound-- and they (Praga, Oliver and Jade) came rolling through like a express train. |
| Bel Canto | Anneli Drecker's voice is stunning -- Don't Believe me? Listen to White Out Conditions or tracks on Birds of Passion |
| KMFDM | |
| WonderStuff | Another band that doesn't seem to fit this list up to this point. You must closely listen to their lyrics -- some deep cynicism here -- just listen to HUP |
| NitzerEbb | |
| David Bowie | Mostly the older stuff, before the Glass Spider Tour |
| Henry Mancini | What's he doing here? This man wrote some of the classic jazz
& pop jazz pieces. Theme from Peter Gun?, Loose Caboose, Moon River (okay Johnny Mercer some credit) |
| Beethoven | Symphony #6 "Pastoral" or Symphony #9 -- enough said. |
